Name Dyslexia

worry wart flowers

I can never remember whether someone named Tom is Tom or Tim.

And whether someone named Tim is Tim or Tom.

I can’t keep it straight whether someone is Christine or Catherine.

Margot versus Megan stumps me every time.

So imagine my dismay when, less than a year ago, I met my new neighbors: Tom, Christine, Megan (oops, I think it’s Margot) and Tommy.

Every time I go outside, I rehearse all four names beforehand in case I run into any of them.

A couple just bought the house on the other side of me.

Their names are Tim and Catherine.

I’m practicing how to say Tm.

What, if anything, like my name dyslexia happens to you?

LOTS ABOUT MARRIAGE, LOVERS, PSYCHOTHERAPISTS (who are like lovers, but who won’t dump me) AND MORE IN MY NEW MEMOIR . . .
